Municipal gamification · 2026 pilot program

The municipality, turned into a game board

A digital scavenger hunt fills the streets with families who really look at the heritage around them: they search, compare, solve — and with augmented reality, your municipality's characters appear on the landscape, Pokémon Go-style. We are looking for the first pilot municipalities, with launch conditions.

How stops are mapped

Four ways to anchor the game to the territory

GPS geolocation

Each stop is a georeferenced point with an activation radius: the challenge unlocks on arrival. Works with no signage.

QR code on a physical plaque

Discreet plaques on monuments and shops: scan directly, ideal for indoor spaces and historic centers where GPS drifts.

Visual recognition

The player points the camera at the object (a coat of arms, a carving, a façade) and the system recognizes it. Magic with nothing to install.

Free or guided order

A sequential route with narrative, or an open board by zone. Decided stop by stop, according to the script.

The challenges

Recreations, images and before/after

Recreations

Historical characters appear on screen and set the challenge: the washerwoman by the river, the lighthouse keeper, the returning emigrant.

Before / after

The player slides between the historical photo and the present day at the exact same spot. The challenge: spot the differences.

Riddles and puzzles

Clues hidden in real heritage elements: count the corbels, read a date, put a legend in order.

Photo challenge

Recreate an old postcard, find the best viewpoint. The photos feed the municipality's gallery (with permission).

Your story, your characters

Every municipality, its own game

This is not a template with a different logo swapped in: we write the story of your territory, draw its characters and set them loose on your streets with augmented reality.

Pokémon Go-style augmented reality

Characters appear on the real landscape through the camera: they are searched for around the municipality, found and collected.

Original illustrated characters

We draw your municipality's mascot and characters — the washerwoman, the lighthouse keeper, the returning emigrant — and they are yours forever, even outside the game.

A story for every municipality

An original narrative that threads the stops together using your landscape, your heritage and your legends. No templates: every municipality gets its own.

Game portal

A dedicated web app with no downloads, with the map, the challenges and the leaderboard, integrated into the municipality's platform.

Scoring system

Points that move people (and local commerce)

Gamification designed to keep families exploring longer: between challenges, the game suggests what to see, where to eat and what to do around the territory.

Points and bonuses

Every challenge adds up; getting it right first try and completing the route on time earn bonuses. It is all visible on the live leaderboard.

Collectible stamps

A digital passport by zone: the stamps encourage people to come back another day and complete the territory.

Local business rewards

Points are redeemed at participating shops: the scavenger hunt brings real customers into local stores.

Teams and seasons

Families, groups of friends and school classes compete by season. Every new season reactivates the route with no new construction needed.

From idea to launch in 8 weeks

Four phases validated with the municipality; the scope and pilot conditions are agreed in the first meeting.

  2. 02 · Mapping and capture2 weeks

Georeferencing the stops, QR plaques, current and 360° photos, digitization of historical material for the before/after comparisons and the recreations.

  3. 03 · Game and scoring2-3 weeks

A download-free web app with the challenges, the leaderboard, the stamps and shop redemptions. Integrated into the municipality's interactive map.

  4. 04 · Launch and seasons1 week + ongoing

Launch event, training, a statistics panel (players, challenges, redemptions) and new content seasons.

The scavenger hunt never runs dry, it renews itself: every new season of challenges reactivates the route with no new construction needed.
